Early American glass epitomizes beauty and creative genius; early New Hampshire glassmaking reflects the strength and industriousness of the people of New Hampshire.

Between the Revolutionary War era and the Industrial Revolution, glasshouses in Temple, Keene, Stoddard, Lyndeborough, and Suncook manufactured window glass, bottles, flasks, and other tableware for markets throughout the Northeast. “New Hampshire Glassmakers” includes more than 200 rare examples – most never before exhibited – from these historic sites. Thousands will learn more about an industry that was vital to New England’s growth and development, and will discover why New Hampshire glass is among the most sought-after historical glass in the country.

Our goal is to promote public awareness of the five historic NH glassworks, including the importance to our country of this early industry during its hundred-year span in the Granite State.

To achieve that goal we need your help. Please consider making a donation!
